Juicer VS Blender: Which One Should You Choose?

Juicing is helpful to people with sensitive digestive systems or health conditions that inhibit the digestion of fiber in the body. A juicer extracts or separates juice and nutrients from vegetables and fruits and discards the fiber.

Also, juicing provides a quicker energy boost. Juices have more veggies per serving (and therefore more nutrients) compared to smoothies. The nutrients come in a pre-digested form that is easily absorbed into the body. There is less heat damage in juicers when compared to blenders.

A blender mixes all ingredients together and creates a smoothie consisting of the entire vegetable, fruit, skin and all the fiber. However, the blender breaks down the fiber into smaller parts which are easier to digest than whole fruits or veggies. A blender can blend more than just veggies- you can add milk, fruits, oils, ice, nuts, seeds and other crushed supplements.

The fiber in smoothies supports your digestive health by sweeping and eliminating toxins from your digestive system. Smoothies also provide you with energy over time and balance your blood sugar levels since they are absorbed slowly into the blood stream.

Should you buy a blender or juicer? Well, the answer will depend on your needs. A blender is the best option for people who run small smoothie businesses or people who make large amounts of smoothies. Blenders are also better for fitness enthusiasts and people who prefer soft-food diets.

On the other hand, juicers are the best option if you want to make juices and don’t want to deal with the skin and pulp. With juicers, you save time and effort that would have been spent on crushing and squeezing fruits. Juicers are easy to use and they allow you to make juices that are not contaminated with additives and chemicals.
